Kitchen Update…

We have counter tops!!!!025024022021Looks amazing! These next few¬†weeks will be¬†finishing the lighting, back splash, painting, and bathroom renovation. DIY makes this process a lot longer than if we hired a contractor (maybe depending on who you get), but we are so happy with how it is going. Until then our handy toaster oven and microwave are doing the trick. Lots of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, ¬†cereal, but also¬†using my awesome neighbors’ kitchen to cook as well.

Tonight is Christmas Eve dinner- recap later…

Tomorrow is CHRISTMAS!!! We always go to the local Chinese restaurant with our close family friends.

This coming week may have some enchiladas, steak (Becca has requested), and a few other food projects I have up my sleeve ūüėČ

Friday Faves 12/18

Breakfast with my sweet girlies…

Chillin with my kitty, Oscar

Our sweet little Christmas tree. Since we are in major renovation mode, this little guy is all we can do this year. I think it will become a new tradition to have it up somewhere in the house every year.

Finally got a Fit bit… I am loving it so much! Trying to beat myself.¬†images015

Last day of school before the BREAK!!!! So excited!!!

Friday Faves 12/11/15

Happy Friday, ya’ll! I hope you all had a great week!

It has been an emotional one for me. Yesterday was the anniversary of the  death of my sweet Lizzie. She would be 10 and had been fighting cancer since she was 4. That life was all our little family knew, so it was our normal. This past year we have been trying to get used to figuring out how to live our lives in a whole new way. It has been mostly amazing, but of course we miss our girl more than anything.

Pretty holiday flowers for Lulu.

Learning about Hanukkah.

Holiday parties at the girls’ school.

Dinner at Lizzie’s favorite restaurant- Habatchi =)

After Becca’s party, I went to yoga. ¬†It was so weird going to a class in the middle of the day.

After yoga, I was starving, so I treated myself to an amazing Indian buffet for lunch.  I especially loved the lamb meat balls and the Cheese Paneer. I went back to the buffet twice! I tried EVERYTHING. Soup, salad, veggies, meat, and amazing sauces! Sweet, sour, spicy; I  loved every bite!

This weekend  brings Pilates, parties, shopping, cooking, eating, Barre, family pictures, and DVR catch-up. Hope you have a great weekend!

Weekend Wrap-up 12/6/15

Today was the perfect Sunday. Sleeping in, yoga, lunch with a good friend and my girls, and a lazy afternoon and evening. The weekend goes by too fast!

Here are some of my favorite pics and eats from the last few days…

My crazy pup, Brutus

Dinner Thursday night with Miss Mandy, my college friend. The girls adore her!

Sushi Date Night!

Celebrating cabinets instillation and picking out our new granite counter top…

The girls and I had lunch with one of my work friends. We ate at a small restaurant called Adriatic Grill. It looks like it might have been a Subway at one point. They have Mediterranean type food. I looked up some info on them and it seems it is a Bosnian family that runs the joint. They were super nice, service was awesome, and I want to try everything on the menu.  I had chicken noodle soup, a lamb gyro, and we all shared dessert. The four of us shared Tres Leches, Raspberry Tiramisu, and a vanilla cream cake with chocolate shavings.  12269778_975737199131622_137115992_n12317567_1518389925120102_342636838_n12299022_130211570680126_1326859208_nI wish you all a happy Monday!
