Sick Day

This sweet munchkin was sick pretty much all weekend, but I thought she was on the mend so I made her get up and start to get ready for school. Then she laid on the bathroom floor and went to sleep. She did get up and get dressed, but I could tell something was not right. Uhhhh…..the dreaded back to school crud with a fever. Becca had it on Thursday afternoon and stayed home Friday. So I marched her back to bed and stayed home with her.

She ended up sleeping in for another hour or so, then woke up. She still had a fever, but she said she was hungry, and that is always a good sign to me. We snuggled, ate her favorite foods, played her favorite games, and watched more TV than normal. Sent her off to bed tonight fever free and hopeful for a normal day. I hate when the girls are sick…but I love making them feel better 😉216.JPG

Beach Fun

Hello out there! I am sad to say that summer is coming to an end, and back to school is right around the corner =(  BUT we had a great time all summer long spending it together. We recently returned from a beach trip to Delaware, and we had a blast! This past week the girls were back at cheer camp and football season has officially arrived. This is the last weekend before I have to go back to work, so the party is over starting Monday. We will resume our regular scheduled programming soon. See you then!

What can I do with this?

I had leftover mozzarella sticks, and I needed to use them before they went bad. I don’t like food waste. I recently almost cried when my green olives had mold growing on them. I did cry when the last of my cherries were all rotten. When the last 2 of my English muffins had mold, I thought that maybe it was the mold that was out to get me. Don’t even get me started on that rotten tomato. So when I remembered about these guys, I was determined to use them before salmonella took over my fridge.

Introducing the cheese stick quesadilla. It tastes like you think, and you are welcome. You could either dip it in left over pizza sauce or sour cream. I tried both and they pass the test.

All 3 judges gave it a perfect 10. In all 3 judges, I mean it is a girl night and I could never pass this off on my husband without meat.

Happy Father’s Day!

I hope everyone out there had a great Father’s Day! We played in the pool all weekend and ate lots of delicious food. I know I’ve been M.I.A for a bit, but we have been busy with summer fun and laziness around here. Lots of repeat meals that are fast and easy i.e. burgers, spaghetti, stir-fry etc.  I hope everyone is enjoying summer! Have a great week!
