Over the summer, we purchased a backyard smoker. The hubby has had a lot of fun with it so far. Yesterday I went to the store and got some wings. I had the butcher separate the flats from the drums and take off the tips. I can do it myself, but, like, why? I dried them off and seasoned them heavily with salt and pepper. The hubby got the smoker ready and cooked them for about an hour.

We divided them in a set of 3. One set was plain for the girls, one set was for my Honey Siracha sauce, and one was for my Mango Sesame Sauce…

I have no shame. This is the best box mix ever! I add either vanilla, honey, or maple syrup to the batter. I have just added a tablespoon of sugar, than everyone can add syrup or fruit compote if they want.

Maybe it will be short lived, but I am loving this weather! I live in Georgia, so the weather here has a mind of it’s own. I am hoping this gorgeous weather continues. If I could live in a world with half the year at 90 degrees and the other half at 70 degrees, I would be a happy girl!
The weather made me think about making chili. So I did! To be honest, I have made chili so many times and so many different ways, so I don’t even really measure any more. But here are some ways I have made this Beef and Pork, Meaty Crock pot, Turkey Chili, SPICY , WITH CORNBREAD
The one I made tonight was tame. Ground Beef seasoned with onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, chili flakes, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire. I didn’t measure. I just used my taste buds 😉 I cooked that all until the meat was browned. 2 cans of diced tomatoes, a small can of green chilies, 1 can of red kidney beans, and 1 an of black beans. I mixed them all together and it cooked on the stove for 3 hours. Set out a toppings bar; crackers, tortilla chips, cheese, sour cream, and avocado. Everyone ate a bowl and loved it! Happy Fall, Y’all!

Apparently Taco Bell is getting rid of this famous dish. I am a secret Taco Bell fan from when I used to be a vegan. Bean Burrito, no cheese, no onion was my order. My husband loves this dish, so he wanted me to make it so he would never lose it. DUH.
He had the idea to steam the shells with the refried beans, taco meat, cheese, and tomatoes on top to melt everything together. 2 layers of whatever you want. I had one with beef and beans. I had one with just beef and cheese. You can do it Double Decker or just one layer. Top with more tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream, sour cream, salsa, hot sauce, etc.
